I'd like to try SFG in a 55 gallon drum like the one pictured. Or you can look on Youtube for a 55gal Container garden :) I live in Zone 8b. I'd like to know what I can plant in here in August? I'd like to plant Strawberries, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, corn, broccoli, zucchini, bell peppers, maybe other peppers, cucumbers, onions, chives, garlic, potatoes, carrots, grapes, cabbage, greens (mustard or collard, whichever cooks/grows faster :) ), radishes, some herbs like parsley, oregano, and thyme. I have no experience gardening, outside of keeping a few golden pothos and palm trees alive :) so I'd like to start slow and easy. Also, I can use 15 gal black gardening pots or 5 gal buckets. I just can't plant inground. Oh, and I have room to espalier something :) Any help is appreciated. I don't see any members posting from my zone to email a question. Thanks again!
