Can anyone identify this worm?

One of my canteloupes had a round hole and after sacrificing it, this is what was on the inside. He was having a party all by his lonesome. do anyone know what it is?

Pickleworm...I think that's what's eating up my charantais melons! GRRRR!!!!!

Now...how to get rid of them?
