    Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!

    You remembered! Wow!

Thanks so much, Granny!!!! It's 11 years today. I told him last year that I knew we'd make it forever if we could make it past ten years. LOL Last year he got me a new, beautiful two-tone gold ring with 2 carats of diamonds. :-)

This year, we're not really doing much of anything. We don't have anyone to help with childcare and all I want is my house cleaned and organized, so we're gonna work on that. I know, it doesn't sound like the best 'date', but it'll work for me... LOL

hubs was so close to being out of debt, but ohhhh noooo!! we didnt get the dang check in the mail today, mom gets direct deposite so she got hers, man, i don't trust banks that much, people can get into there and take your money out, that irritates me!! ~Medo

Angela, I wish I were close to you...you'd have a baby sitter any time you wanted! Oh well, I'm a practical person myself, and help with household cleaning/organizing sounds like a fine anniversary present to me. Maybe you can put the kids to bed early, kick back and relax, and have a little romantic candlelight dinner with your DH.

Thank you as well, Medo! It has been a great anniversary!

Granny, yep, I'm very practical myself, so I'm fully enjoying today! BUT, if you lived closer, I'd sure take you up on that offer... hee hee

Guess what my tweetie (my nickname for him) got me? A metallic balloon that floats and everything that says, "Happy Anniversay". LOL... AND, he also got me a wonderful water gardening book... oooooooooh, I can't wait until I can make myself a beautiful water garden.... :-)

your very much welcome!! and thank you!! they were so cute!! he is so sweet!! i love how he just dotes on her, and say's that she can have anything that she wants. i wonder how long it will be befor that changes?? LOL and i love how he always has that sparkle when she's around!! and she's just the same way!! LOL its not like your nowa days people just hop into bed and that is that, but they were different they did the whole church thing, seeing the preacher and all that befor getting married and such!! LOL wish we woulda been that good!! we were half way there, LOL
but now its to raise my little ones the right way. that's my big goal. and i don't want a hoochie mama!! LOL i am really scared of that!! short skirts and shirts that show her belly button and shirts that come down so far that show everything she does or doesn't have. uhhgggghhh been there done that on the shirt too low!!! shorts to high, so i tell talla that ok, sweetie, that is a hoochie mama, and well, ya definately dont wanta be that, boys will think you will want to ya know,,, play mommy and have 12 kids with them!! she only wants 4 anything over 4 is too much. it "drives her nuts!!!" LOL so 12 drives that point right home.LOL **grinning** boy i have that plug into her mind!! LOL now when she changes on me in a month or two, i'll have to think of a new one again. LOL **sighing** LOL ~Medo

did you see the rainbow?? on the righthand corner??

Granny - Yep, he helped with the housework, too, but we won't go into how much he created of the mess....

    Medo -

    1. Awwww... another sweet babysitting offer, how cool is that? As for being weird, yes, that's cool... being introverted, though? I'd never guess ya for that by the way you are here at the forums! House cleaning buddies, huh? That sounds like a plan! The only problem is since we don't live closer, then I'll have to find someone else around here who's house is as bad as mine so we can team up... I think that'll be quite the chore... LOL

    2. Wow! And, you said you hate going to weddings? Those two were sooo adorable! I just love the pics, and I'm sure the wedding was sooo adorable and lovable, too! I'm sure I'd of been crying if I were there.

    3. You said, "i love how he just dotes on her, and say's that she can have anything that she wants." Well, guess what? My tweetie was pretty much exactly like that 13 years ago when I first met him, 11 years ago when we got married, and ALL through-out the marriage up until this very day. I am one very blessed woman, no doubt!

thank you!! they are just gorgeous!!
that's what i think!! but ya know!! i hope talla grows up to be a strong minded woman like the rest of us in this line of woman!! LOL i think she's gonna be and more twisted than us by the way she talks!! LOL i do think she'll have her guy wrapped around her finger!! she's got them adorable little brown eyes!! and that killer smile!! LOL
if i ever feel to bad about my house, i just watch how clean is your house?? on bbc i think. man them are some messy houses!! but thats crud, i told hubs i think our house is getting that bad, because we have wall to wall stuff!! so its time to get rid of stuff!! so one week befor trash day we are gonna send the kids down to his moms for a few days and go thru stuff. so this will be interesting. especially since i'm one of them people who hold onto things to remember stuff. Granny - I tried your razzy rita drink today. It was ok, but I didn't like the "sugar free" after taste. It was interesting though!

Now, see, EG...I am so used to the sugar free stuff 'cause that is all I drink. My mother was a type I diabetic, as was my youngest son (from age ten) so I've lived most of my life with the artificial sweeteners. I can't stand drinks with real sugar for the most part. I have a "real" Margarita once a year, on my birthday! I had two last year though, when we went to Laughlin, NV for a few days and Mr. H and I entered a free slot tournament. Mr. H won the thing, so I had a drink with him to celebrate. Heck, winning $15,200.00 on a freebee is worth having a drink over!

EG, your spider might be deadlier, but mine is bigger:

    {{gwi:1284645}}

We are "blessed" with a lot of black widows at both of our homes, and scorpions at our place in AZ, but this was the first (and last) tarantula I'd seen. She was strolling down our driveway, and I picked her up in a huge pickle jar. You can see how big she was as compared to my hand. After our photo session, I turned her loose and she went on her way. Did you know they can live up to 30 years?

Granny - your spider wouldn't last 30 seconds with me....I'd definitely take the 12 gauge to it. Yeah....mine is very deadly! Looks like i'm gonna have to start spraying for them.

EG, if they have penny slot machines, he'll go anywhere with you!

We'll miss our Laughlin trips. The free rooms, free food, and the fun. Unfortunately, they do not allow pets and we are now the parents of three. The bunny was no problem, he stayed in a cage in the back of the Ranger, in a parking garage. Can't do that with two wild little doxies! Now a day trip to a nearby Indian casino once a month is about all we can manage. We've both been quite lucky this past year. We come back north through Jackpot, NV and I hit $1200 on a penny machine on our way home last spring.

Granny - yeah, they got lots of penny slots in Tunica, Mississippi. Check it out! I prefer Hollywood Casino, because I can get more free drinks there! Just tell Mr. H to fly into Memphis, and i'll be standing at the arrivals location - holding up a big photo of his hand and the cucumber. Deal? ha!

Granny - the wife has mentioned vegas a few times...it could definitely happen in the future. Reckon I can bring my shotgun and flashlight with me? Just in case I have trouble sleeping.

Medo - that's some freaky looking reefer you got growin there. Hey, that's what it looks like. I think I read somewhere that it was poisonous or something....isn't it to deter moles?

Medo, that was a sugar free Margarita we were discussing...with or without alcohol. I like mine without, but EG likes his double (wink-wink). The recipe is on my blog, the most recent one, with the jalapeno jelly recipe.

The castor bean plant is gorgeous, but doesn't it scare you to have it around? Being so deadly poisonous, I mean?

no, it doesn't scare me, the kids don't mess with any of my plants, and talla absolutely hates anything pokey!! and mine have never gotten to the stage that it actually produces seeds, i hope this year it does, this time it has gotten flowers. LOL and it looks like it might get seeds. we are getting the kids to go to grandma's for his weekend. so we can go thru stuff to throw it all away!! YES!!! this is really going to happen!! do you see my very first project?? the front porch!! LOL that chair is perfectly fine, the problem, i have no room, and no use for it, all the clutter does, though! LOL so i'm going to put it out on the side and put a big free sign on it,i also have a big side by side that the only thing is wrong with it is that the compressor is going out, so the very very top part doesn't freeze but the rest does. and the fridge works great!! i think i'm gonna put it out there and put a free sign on it too. taking up to much space also. i told hubs everything is gotto either be used or go!! he said, hmmmm.....ok. we'll see. but as long as sex is in the deal ok. LOL i said, well lets see how much work gets done then we'll see. HEE HEE i''m a real stinker!! so i got his guns out of pawn today and picked up the payday loans. now we're on our way to being debt free again!! WOOO HOO, well i should say on board, or can breath or what ever normal paying people call it!! LOL we were spending i think i figured 300 a month on payday loans, they are the worst idea ever, he let me see them, i think if i had my paintball gun i woulda shot him good!! maybe 3 or 4 times just to get the frusteration out!! can you say wasted money???
ok EG, this is what we did, we lifted both ends of the gh up, i'll show the pic, jay said heck if your gonna have dirt hauled in lift both ends up!! i thought, sounds good!!
do you want me to just email them to you? because i took like 4 or 5 pics.

Thank you VERY much to everyone who wished me a happy anniversary. I really appreciate it!!!!!

Wow, that's a big win, Granny! I would have 2 or maybe 10 drinks with that kind of win! hee hee

EG - There ain't much that'll yuck me out more than spiders... ICK!

    Medo -

    1. Yikes! That's an annual? Wow! That's HUGE for an annual. And yes, those payday loans should be illegal... they're SUCH a rip-off.

    2. Thanks for the pics, cool caterpillar.... and, I don't know what the last one is, sorry... as for where the seed comes out.... I don't get that at all... I just don't see where.... LOL.... It's driving me crazy! These things are beautiful and I never see any seeds on it or my Crape Myrtle bush and both are very pretty and established enough for seeds... uggggh... I'm gonna bring my neighbor over to show me, I think... well, if he knows that is... he knows a lot about plants, but I've never seen him harvest seeds before. LOL

Also, I want to let you all know that I'm heading back to Dallas again and will be out of town again for a few days. This time I should be coming back with Hannah's new leg on her and wonderfully comfortable, too, if all goes as I know it will! I'll let you know that I'm back when I get back... hahahahaha

we'll pray for your safe trip!! and for hannah to have a great something or another with that leg!! LOL
ok angela, on my 4 oclock, look and see that black spot?? i left it there for you, its the seed, at first its a ball. then its green then it turns black, when its black the seed is done, it falls out. of where the flower used to be.
my one flower i didn't know what was?? well tabor was looking over someones list, and looked up verbena bonarisis sp and that's what it is. how cool!! now i'm going to move it to full sun, it'll do better there next year, well i hope its a perennial. i have to look that up!! now i pulled my dahlia, took all of its tubers off and put it in the fridge in some soiless soil. the thing is, last year i had alot of glads, canna's and they all died, i don't know how to properly store them. so i'm hoping to do this right!!
i need to pull the glads and do the same with them too. so should i put them in the fridge and leave them there? last time flies got to them. so that didn't work. i don't want to lose them!! ~Medo

Granny - since I've always planned every vacation we've ever took, i've agreed to let my wife pick the next place to go. We'll see..

Medo - yeah, email the pics to me. Also, about the fridge problem.....I've been working on fridges for 25 years, and it doesn't sound like a compressor problem..... Perhaps you can give me some more details with your email, and I can tell you some things to check.

    Angela - good luck

    1. Awwww... I absolutely will tell her! (((hugs)))

    2. You wrote: "Angela, you MUST try hot pepper jelly! It's made with red or green bell peppers, but it doesn't taste like them at all." OH, YUCK! I had no idea it was made with bell yuckers or I wouldn't have given it another thought... ewwwwwww... LOL... I must REALLY love my husband because I served him stuffed bell yuckers for dinner while the rest of us had my "Creative" weekly leftover soup. :-) (None of us, but him, like bell yuckers, and we really call them by that name here rather than bell peppers... LOL... really!) And, the soup was pretty impressive this week, even if I do say so myself! ;-)

    Medo -

    1. I concur! It is "Verbena bonariensis"! Too cool that you both figured that out so soon. Cool!!!!

    2. Oh, goodness.... I'm gonna go study the plant again for seeds when I get back to see if I can see what you're talking about. I feel sooo ridiculous for not getting it! LOL (I really was a straight A student in school! LOL) At least now I know where to look. I am determined to get seeds from it, though... determined, I tell you! Tom (the trader you and I just traded with) is now asking me about harvesting the seeds). He's great, huh? Well, I want to give him them so I best figure it out as soon as I get back. Do you have any idea when they go to seed usually?

OH, and I kind of ignored the Vegas and gambling stuff for the most part, but since this thread mentions my anniversary, I have to say that the ONLY thing that came anywhere close to breaking up our marriage (twice for that matter) was his gambling addiction. Thank God he's been delivered from that horrible addiction.

Anyways, I guess we can't meet up with you guys on your next vacation (if EG's wife picks that kind of destination). LOL

BUT, if we could, I'm pretty darned good at that 'ole Texas Hold 'Em... you know, being from Texas and all... hee hee... It's a wild and crazy game, and I've won bookoooo bucks at it, but had to give it up so I'm not tempting my dear 'ole hubby that I love.

LOL, Angela...sure can't blame you for that! My son-in-law's mother is addicted to gambling, and it's not nice at all, she is constantly in debt. We aren't "gamblers", we're "have some funners"! We only take cash for what we feel we can afford to lose, and never, never go over our limit. Penny slots only, me more for the games. We use our slot cards, and stay with one casino, so we get good perks (in Nevada free rooms, meals, etc. at the Indian casino in WA, free buffet on Senior Tuesday). Although it could get addictive if we'd win as much as Mr. H did last year! The entire amount went directly into a CD at the bank, towards our new car (next year, maybe).

ya my mom's hubs is that way, he puts them in debt about once a month i swear because of his addiction, he even almost made them lose their house last month because of it, and like about 6 years ago, they went into bankruptcy becauseof it. i think i'd kill my hubs and tell GOD he died of natural causes!! especially if we lost our house because of his gambling, but hubs don't do that i don't think, lord i hope not. not behind my back, at least if we have the extra money i don't mind if he takes a little bit and goes, but that's it. i don't like to. LOL tabor is pretty good at texas holdum. he plays with his uncle dave, so they bought him a set for christmas. LOL ~Medo
