Ribbit - go purchase some BT, and spray it on all of your leafy veggies (undersides of leaves as well). This will take care of the cabbage worms and/or cabbage loopers. Then, spray Neem onto the other veggies. This will take care of your problems. :)

Also, I've got those spiders as well....they always show up during the fall.

Garden spiders are good...but scary!

I noticed a scrawny spider blocking my way out of the sliding glass door the other night, so I grabbed the camera and took this picture...I thought it looked way cool the way it photographed with the flash!

Not to be picky, but I think it's female spiders that spin webs.

I LOVE spiders. Tons and tons of em in my tomatoes.
If only the females spin webs, how do the males eat? Heh, that's what google is for...

I actually couldn't find the info. What I read said "she spins" or "it spins". Maybe she spins and traps the food, then he eats from the trapped insects until he's fat enough, then she eats him.
