Yes I double dog dare anyone to plant one of these "annuals" in one of your square foot boxes next year!

That was an annual? Not in my climate. No way, it'd be one foot tall and resemble broccoli, I'm certain of it.

He grew it in New York state which I thought was interesting as I would have expected it some place with a warmer climate.

Still that is wild being an annual.

My first thought was maybe I could grow a quick windbreak!

There is a thread in the veggie forum about this plant. Apparently it is a grain substitute. Somehow you eat it like wheat, though way before it gets this big. It's easy and quick to grow and very nutritious. So I read. Wierd is what I say!
