Anyone else have a potager?

I'm designing a potager for next year and I want to try square foot gardening. I have four 8'x2' beds for vegetables around the edge, with four more that size for herbs and strawberries. There are four L-shaped beds in the middle that each measure 3'x6' on one leg and 3'x3' on the other end. There's a bird bath in the center with flowers around it, which will be the focal point.

I'd like to know what vegetables can be grown this way. Can corn and potatoes be grown in a square foot garden? I hope to put a little bit of everything in this garden, while I have a bigger garden elsewhere for pumpkins, melons, etc. and can put the potatoes there if necessary. I'd really like to put the corn in the potager (if possible) so the fence and raspberries against it may hide it from the deer :)

On Oct 29, Violet posted a link to a video under "Great program on PBS". It's on YouTube, called Organic Kitchen Garden. It has a beautiful potager garden using some sfg areas. I really enjoyed it.
