You'll just have to try it and see if it works. I believe a few may be ok, but several of your selections most likely will not grow well.

Your situation is just like mine. Your peppers and tomatoes won't do well. They'll be small and take forever to mature. Everything else will take longer to mature and be a bit more spindly than you would like. Lettuce will do fine and my squash did admirably. Peppers, eggplants and tomatoes, I'm afraid, will be more frustrating than worth it.

Go for it, you will be pleasantly surprised! Especially since you get full sun when the sun is at its highest point, with the most direct rays. Plus you get additional diffused morning light. You should be perfectly fine. My cherry tomatoes, peppers, and herbs did very well in 4 hours of late sun, after 3 pm. :-)

Four hours of bright summer sunlight equals >22 moles per day. Generally veggies need at least 18 moles/day with 20-22 preferred. Plus, as said above, you will get diffused light the rest of the day.

I have a section of my garden that only gets sunlight after about 1 pm and onwards - as it is on the west side of the garage - plus the overhang to keep it from getting sunlight longer.

I would venture to say that this area of my garden gets around six hours of sunlight a day. I've put my tomatoes in this section for the past three years (moving them next year) and they do fairly well - from six plants, I got about 60 pounds of tomatoes.

This past spring I also planted peas alongside this wall and they also did very well - producing maybe 6 - 7 pounds of peas from about 60 plants. Cucumbers didn't do very well, however - but I still did get about 10 pounds or so of cucumbers from two plants.

Probably doesn't help much as my area would still get 50% more sunlight than the four-hour location yours does.
