I posted this on the soil forum (well, there are some nicer people over there too I s'pose) but I thought I'd share here too for those of you looking...

Here's an idea for posting your "want" on the free section of Craigslist (you're not supposed to post wanted ads in that section)

Try this:

Free removal of your fall straw bale decorations-----------

If you have hay or straw bales for your fall decorations that you no longer want, I can come pick them up and take them away for you. If you have some pumpkins or similar items too, I can remove them as well.

When contacting, please let me know your general area.

For those who want to get rid of them, this IS a service! I'm planning to pick up 4 bales tomorrow. Truth is, I don't know if I'm going to get hay or straw, lots of people call it hay either way, but no matter, I can use it. Now seems to be an active time for them on freecycle as well.
