Oh Carmie if you only knew how computer dumb I am you would have never asked that question. LOL I can't even get my pictures off my camera and download them to send to other people. LOL I have to go to Wal-Mart and get them to put them on a disk for me then "SOMETIMES" I can send them to people. I'm old and forgetful as all get out. That's another reason I keep all the stuff so I can attempt to keep up with it. Unfortunately for me I can't stand looking at it much longer. My desk drawers are all full and running over, the side of my desk has all those flat rate boxes from the post office so when I need one I don't have to drive all the way to town 15 miles one way to get one. And the list just goes on and on. Then I have a small file box that is full of mags, books, letters, and bills/receipts for plants and so forth. I've also been known to delete files from my computer and not even know what I was doing. So I don't think that would be of much help to someone like me. I do appreciate the heads up however. I'm afriad burning a cd would be a whole lot like brewing tea. I forget about it half the time and the pot is empty. LOL Kind of like my brain at times. Happy Gardening Ya'll. I just hope it stops raining for awhile. I'm sick of it and can't get my hands in the dirt. I'm not into mud pies any longer. LOL Marian

I've been thinking about this off and on all day. Maybe it's just my poor memory, but I really can't think of anything that I ever considered doing in the garden that I'm thankful I didn't do. Generally, when I have a garden related idea, I jump right on it and get it done asap. So I could make a long list of things I've done and wish I hadn't--and lots that I'm happy I did, too. But happy I didn't do? I don't know . . . There's one thing I haven't done (yet), that I have mixed feelings about. A mulberry tree was one of the few things growing in my yard when we bought the place, and I can tell it's going to end up too big for the area where it was planted. I've considered cutting it down the past several years cause it's shading things that need sun, but I hate to remove anything that provides shade over the lawn. If I do keep it I'll probably make a pollard out of it, even though I hate deforming a tree like that. But if we keep having dry summers like the past two, I may eventually be thankful I haven't taken it out.

Wonder what the intended shelf life of those things are? For me, about all but one day too long.

My parents built their MCM house in 1960. While cleaning it out to sell I found my mother's copy of BH&G Kitchen Ideas Special from 1960, including the list of things she wanted. Among them: mixer lift, divided cookie sheet/tray cabinet, shallow pantry, cooktop in peninsula. I was glad to see she got most of the things on her list. So, you could save them for posterity! Sara
