Invasive Plants forum?

I would like to see a forum created specifically to discuss invasive plants. Non-native invasive plants are a major threat to natural habitats across North America. They are the 2nd biggest threat to biodiversity and ecological balance of natural habitats after habitat destruction from development. Governments, nurseries, and gardeners have all unwittingly contributed to this problem by selling, buying, planting, and even trading seeds of invasive plants.

The Nature Conservancy states: "Invasive species have contributed directly to the decline of 42% of the threatened and endangered species in the United States. The annual cost to the United States economy is estimated at $120 billion a year, with over 100 million acres (an area roughly the size of California) suffering from invasive plant infestations. Invasive species are a global problem  with the annual cost of impacts and control efforts equaling five percent of the worldÂs economy."

There is a lot of confusion about what "invasive" means, and which plants are invasive. An Invasive Plants forum can help clarify this, as well as teach people how to ID invasive plants, how to eradicate them, etc.

Thank you for your consideration of this suggestion.
