another reason why i check the box, is because half the dang time i forget where the heck i left a message, so when i started posting and then i found that precious little box, OMGoodness!! that was so awesome!! Hee Hee!! i was glad, because i used to go all over the place just to see how big this place is, and well its just huge, then i'd forget where iwas. and of course where i posted something, or i'd see something that would catch my attention. i still do that and forget. Recently, GW added the ability to "follow" a thread that you did not start. To "follow" a thread, simply post to the thread and check the box that says: "Check here if you would like post replies emailed to you." Thanks for your responses. I talked to my GC about this today and he agreed with you guys and actually had it laid out to exhaust to the side and out, about 6-7' max. The building inspector was out looking at something else and saw the layout and said it had to go straight up because it is a gas dryer, not electric. He said it had to be 25'?? feet away from a window so the only option was to be... go straight up. Anyone else have any input? Just a note. The county I live in has only had a building dept for two (2) years. Before, no inspections, no control, owner beware!! I am not sure what code they are using nor do I know what experience the inspectors have but it is possible that the exhaust of a dryer is different than the exhaust of say, a, hot water heater or gas furnace. Maybe someone with a gas dryer can respond to this in how his house is vented. Thanks Andy

I think that in order to receive follow up emails to your posts, you need to do 2 things. 1. Check "Check here if you would like copies of follow-ups to your message emailed to you." when you post the message AND 2. On your personal preferences page, check "Allow other users to send you email via forms at our site." I'm not 100% sure, but it seems to me that every time I have unchecked this box on my personal preferences page, I have stopped getting copies of follow-ups to my posts. Can anyone else confirm this?
