Requesting a new CANADIAN forum....

Since last summer two of us members of Garden Web have been asking around all the Canadian forums to see if there is interest in having a "Canadian Native Gardening" forum. Currently there is an "America Native Gardening" Forum but Canadians are not permitted to post to it nor are most of the postings relevant. We have been collecting names/usernames of people interested in starting a Canadian Native Gardening forum which can be seen here:

We would like to move forward with this request to open a Canadian Forum of this type and continue to collect interested persons for discussions on native gardening, native seed/plant swapping, pests and disease related to native plants/shrubs and trees and difficulties eradicating alien invasives in order to establish native plant gardens.

If this forum is established we would like it to be listed under "Canadian Forums" and have a "FAQ" link as well as an "Off Topic" link on the same page.

Looking forward to a reply.

I am not one of the two people mentioned in the above post but I too would like to have access to a Canadian Native Plant forum , most especially to have access to individuals that are knowledgeable and can identify native plants for me . I have quite a number of gardens but would like to add some that are only of native plants. To facilitate this , I would like to be able to have access to information that is pertinent to my Canadian native plant gardens. The opportunity to discuss pros and cons of certain plants , diseases pertinent to these plants and of course enviromental requirements would be of great value to a large number of Canadians and would only serve to make this site even more valuable to us .

I clicked on this because I have a lot of Canadian friends. Do you know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy? They're really really nice.

I couldn't find the America Native Garden forum. Where is it?

To everyone......I have to thank CactusMcHarris actually for prompting me to contact Gweb direct following on from my comment in an earlier thread saying that I wished for an Adenium forum. Soooooo, on behalf of us all, 'A VERY BIG THANK YOU JEFF' for nudging me into action! I had truly forgotten that fact so I cannnot just sit here and take credit for this. I see the garden gremlins have been banished to the compost heap till later, so we may get to hear something in a day or so. Watch this space folks as we are now up to 46. Gill from the UK.

Just wondering if anyone from Garden Web Admin has read my posting and is considering our request or what... We have a few new names added to the list of folks wanting this type of forum and wondering where we are at with the request.
