You have to have your own facebook page to post a question so register a page of your own and then follow these directions I got from Facebook. Unless you add a profile photo, no picture will ever show up of you. I use an alias name in FB. lol It serves me well. Go to your Timeline (which we sometimes refer to as your profile) and hover over your profile picture Click Edit Profile Picture to edit your picture Choose whether you want to: Pick a photo you already uploaded to Facebook Take a new photo Upload a photo from your computer Edit your thumbnail Remove your current photo You can use any of the photos you've uploaded to Facebook, or photos your friends have uploaded, if you're tagged in them: Click on the photo you want to use to expand it Hover over the photo and select Options Click Make Profile Picture Crop the photo and click Done Cropping Keep in mind, your current profile picture is public.

It doesn't look like the FB page is very active. The FB Page was made October 11, 2011; there is one post on Oct 1st of this year. You can bet that the way they'll work it is that they will start taking posts from the various boards & link them on the page. I hope they will not share any posts from any of the conversations forums. Unfortunately; they do not have to ask permission because we gave the right up when we agreed to their terms of service when we joined. Does anyone want to contact the admin to see if conversation posts will be shared there? IMO; it needs to be known for all of our sakes. I don't come here much for the last few months anyway; I really have nothing to hide; but I'd rather not have anything I post to shared on the FB page. IT feels like a violation of privacy. One good thing is the amount of posts lost on this side to forum screw ups. I used to post on rose conversations; there are posts still from 2006!

Oak, I tried following the instructions to install the pin it button, but it wouldn't work for me. What I ended up doing is going to the 'ABOUT' section, and when it showed the page for adding the pin it button, I just right clicked on the icon, then got that crosshairs looking thing and moved it to my tool bar, dropped it there and now I have it. On my tool bar it shows as a moon and says Pin It. When I've got a website I want to save, I click the Pin It moon and then a bunch of pictures show up. I click the picture I want, click Pin It again and it then opens up a dialogue box for a place for me to save it. I just chose any choice then go in later and edit my boxes to what I want in them. I'm so freaking hooked on Pinterest. Right now I'm obsessed with all the DIY natural cleaners. Haven't even begun to explore all the decorating much less garden sites. Ohhhh my, wonder if they're going to set up 12 step programs for Pinterest addicts?

I've always realized that posting here can be accessed by anyone searching online if they search long enough and are interested in reading the post. The chances of someone I don't want knowing about my posts and linking them to me are possible but pretty slim, although I haven't posted anything that I'm trying to hide from anyone. But beyond that, I don't personally do FB, to the chagrin of all my relatives who do. If anyone wants to do that, that's their business, I just don't want my stuff "out there" to whoever. People post things that they forget that they might not want some to see and feelings get hurt and relationships get ruined. If I want someone to know something I'll tell them personally or by email. So, now I will have to re-think whether I want to post anymore photos here. There might be a personal thing about a project that I don't want displayed and "liked" or "pinned" by a bunch of strangers. I like to think of all of you as friends and don't mind your views and reviews of my projects, but I don't like the idea of the world outside of GW having the same privilege to do it. I want to be in control of my world, so I want to be able to pick which social media giant to share it with.
