chemtrails

Have you noticed the SKY above your head lately? Google and Youtube "CHEMTRAILS" , "PROJECT CLOVERLEAF" , "GLOBAL DIMMING" and let's do something about to stop those CHEMTRAILS! SERIOUSLY! Otherwise forget about climatic zones and about gardening! With chemtrails present you are wasting time and money gardening since the chemtrolls will probably destroy many of your plants, and your health too.

Please spread the world.

Dude, the tinfoil is supposed to go SHINY SIDE OUT!

RE: chemtrails

What tinfoil? I was talking about the artificial chemical cloud creation that affects our plant life and our health. I'm concerned about effect of chemtrails on gardening and being outside inhaling all those barium and aluminium oxide etc. into our lungs.

Here is a link that might be useful: Don't ignore chemtrails or remain sheeple

RE: chemtrails

Probably the scariest part is that you didn't catch the reference to tinfoil.

Lest you think I am mocking you, I did look up these sites, and while I do not unreservedly trust my government, I am not impressed by conspiracy theories backed by unsupported claims and "Star Trek" technobabble.

Firstly, none of the sites gives a plausible reason for these alleged assaults or experiments--why would "they" do this? Particularly since it causes drought?

No, documentation of these things would not be impossible, although, if the conspiracy is real, it would take considerable courage and guile to pull off. Once documented, however, there are inumerable public officials who would not be party to the conspiracy, and happy to get a political weapon against other officials, both bureaucratic and elected.

Yes, I do have a broad backing in natural science. These people have not shown any evidence that they know what they are talking about, except the Nova program, which doesn't attempt to blame contrails on any conspiracy.

Also, is this a fit topic for any gardening forum?

Not sheeple, but not buying it!

RE: chemtrails

I think chemtrails and contrails are related to gardening, since they block sunshine and affect climate and growth. Some chemtrails really stink like chemicals once they reach ground and we inhale that stuff.

RE: chemtrails

I agree with tugbrethil on two counts:

I'm surprised to see something about chemtrails on this forum, and after doing some research I am also rather skeptical of the whole thing.

It would be interesting to go back and see when the worries about chemtrails started, and then you could look for evidence, or the lack of, for the effects this would have. To be suddenly worried about your gardening success this year because of some conspiracy theory that has been around for years seems strange.

Let me make clear that I am not hesitant to point out the many horrors our government is responsible for, and that we are all in some serious trouble because of the assault on our environment, but chemtrails is just too far fetched in my opinion.

RE: chemtrails

Sorry, but I have to weigh in again, and this really is not directly related to gardening...

(By the way, according to Wikipedia, the idea of chemtrail conspiracy came out way back in 1996!)

Anyway, it strikes me as insteresting that all of the things the conspiracy people are worried about: chemical substances found in places they shouldn't be, horizon to horizon clouds from airplane exhaust, greater trail activity over developed countries, health problems, and on and on... these are all very very real, and explained by the developed world's legacy of environmental destruction.

The real problems are not a conspiracy and many people don't seem to care... more than chemtrails I worry about all the CO2 coming from those thousands of jets passing overhead, the deadly spraying of pesticides, herbicides, and chemical fertilizers over our croplands, dangerous chemicals from our household trash leaching into groundwater, the tons of coal burned to allow people to leave their lights on all night, or to take hot showers for 20 minutes at a time. These are much more serious than the supposed chemtrails and worth worrying about and trying to change.

So why does it take a conspiracy theory to get people impassioned about the environment? I'm not sure, but I have seen many good things on this forum related to a more sustainable future that are very much worth talking about.

I hope this has not offended anyone, because I believe everyone is entitled to his or her ideas, my plea is simply that we pay attention to what IS happening too.

RE: chemtrails

The "chemtrails" or as the least the "contrails" issue means less sunshine and it is real and too much info about it on the web to ignore it. Try join this group: yahoo.com / group / chemtrailtrackingusa / join. Also youtube "chemtrails". It IS related to gardening as it affects sunlight and the climate. Especially in the wider South (East-West). I choose not to fly airplanes unless really really necessary (intercontinental).

RE: chemtrails

If we can return to lazygardens most appropriate post for a moment....

"Dude, the tinfoil is supposed to go SHINY SIDE OUT!"

When you make your protective tinfoil helmet, you're supposed to do so with the shiny side of the tinfoil facing out. This will allow it to fully reflect the ozone and other chemical residues.

It does a pretty good job of stopping the little voices as well.

Can we return to gardening now?

RE: chemtrails

I found this on the web:

"United States America is the best place in the world to do business, because overthere you can poison people with dangerous food ingredients, particulate-emitting laser printers, chemtrails, etc. and if anyone complains, they are
branded as freaks."

 o
RE: chemtrails

What did "neonrider" say? What? I can't hear him; I have my tinfoil helmet on! (wink)

 o
RE: chemtrails

I said nothing, I just quoted someone else's words, you can judge whether the quoted words are wrong or right, yet this can apply to any other country in the world.

My concern is lack of sunshine for the gardening. The trees that grew up with lots of sun, are now getting more clouds than ever. If you think my concern is wrong then I don't know what is right.

 o
RE: chemtrails

I think one problem here is the material referred to as "tinfoil" is not longer tin. Yes, Virginia, there has been a government conspiracy to replace tinfoil with aluminum foil. That's why it no longer works the way it's supposed to. You just think you're protecting yourself but the whole time you're being exposed to who knows what!
Deception! Conspiracy!
Oh boy! There goes the oven timer, my tater tots must be done!

RE: chemtrails

I wish there was a "FLAG AS INAPPROPRIATE" link on this forum...

RE: chemtrails

You just couldn't let it die, could you dav4vid? Untill you resurected this thread it was pretty well dead and burried.
