I am new to this area and planning on having an organic garden. Is there a nursery in El Paso that sells orgainc materials for gardening?
What about organic soil?
I came from East Texas where the soil will grow anything to the desert and the sand. Help!!!

Not sure who is best resource for organic amendments, but I know that Texas A & M offers a master gardener program in El Paso County. There are major challenges, but gardening in the El Paso/ Las Cruces area can be very rewarding, especially if you choose native and arid adaptive plants. It doesn't have to be a cactus rock garden. Check out the High Country Gardens website to see great examples. They are a great mail order nursery out of Santa Fe, NM. Welcome to the desert. Hope you come to love it.

UTEP has the native plant garden on campus. Check it out.

UTEP also has a great plant sale the last weekend in April at the Centennial Museum on cmapus.
