I am new to this area and planning on having an organic garden. Is there a nursery in El Paso that sells orgainc materials for gardening?
What about organic soil?
I came from East Texas where the soil will grow anything to the desert and the sand. Help!!! |

| Not sure who is best resource for organic amendments, but I know that Texas A & M offers a master gardener program in El Paso County. There are major challenges, but gardening in the El Paso/ Las Cruces area can be very rewarding, especially if you choose native and arid adaptive plants. It doesn't have to be a cactus rock garden. Check out the High Country Gardens website to see great examples. They are a great mail order nursery out of Santa Fe, NM. Welcome to the desert. Hope you come to love it. |
