I would like to hear from anyone growing David Austin roses or Rugosas in Las Cruces area. I wonder if it can be done, and please give me your success and failure stories. Thanks .

RE: roses in So N.M.

If you are referring to the Rosa Rugosa, we ordered some and planted them last spring. They seem to have adapted very well and are quite beautiful this year with more and larger blooms than what we achieved in the first year. They started out kinda ugly but when the leaves come on and the blooms start they are pretty amazing. They also tend to self-propagate and are starting to spread which is what we wanted so you will need to keep that in mind when planting. They were developed for land reclamation and they are very good at it! Enjoy
