| I have 6 Espiranza's that grow 7-8' tall. I heard my grandson tell a friend that his grandfather was in his jungle? =-)
Is there a way to keep them from growing so high and large? |

| What is the species? I can't find a plant by that name |

| When I lived in the Austin area, our Esperanza would die back in the winter. I would cut it at ground level, then it would come back in the spring. If you keep it pruned - especially the dead flowers, you'll have a continual flow of new flowers. However, it is a large shrub, so if it is too large for your space, you ought to move it and put something in that is a better size at maturity. |
