| I have a Chilean mesquite which seems to be sick. it is sapping a lot and losing some of its leaves. The tree is about 5 years old and is water by drip. I was wondering if I should stop using the drips to the tree and fertilize the surrounding area with something. Any suggestions would be great. |

| STOP watering and forget the fertilizer. Water deeply only in the heat of the summer and only ever 3-4 wks. Mesquite are arid plants and do not need fertilizing. |
