Hello -

I'd like to know what are good varieties of peach, nectarine and apricot trees for NE heights area of ABQ. It's for home use so taste is paramount and the sweeter the better.

Thanks

We just planted a bevy of fruit trees, a few of which are apricots. The apricots that I bought are Harglow, Tomcot, and Royal Rosa. This is by no means a testimonial for these certain trees..but two outa three, are slow to bloom in spring. Apricots tend to bloom early, and may get zapped...this may be more critcal in Albuq (we are in Cruces). Research some of the Pluots, and Apriums,..intergeneric hybrids... that are s'posed to do well in high heat, low chill, areas. Look up Laurel Bay Nursery (CA), and Raintree Nursery (WA). I am no expert on fruit selections for NM, but have planted various fruit trees where ever we have lived..but, I am only in the learning stage when it comes to NM. Hope this is of a little help.
