dang. and I was ready to put my heavier jacket away for the season. figured I sure wouldn't need it anymore til next november or so.

is it big enough to put a sheet over it? if not, how about a pillow case?

I went out this morning and uncovered everything and all looks fine. I brought all my cactus in as I haven't put anything from pots to ground yet, I wrapped a large sheet around my little tree....gonna be 27 tonight too...then maybe we'll be over the coldest for this spring

Yeah, this cold spell is crazy. National Weather Service is forecasting 20 for my area tonight. We've been through mid twenties last week, with only some minor damage, but tonight will probably do a number on all the things that have flowered and leafed out.

No matter how well established things are, this cold spell is going to set some of them back. I'm not expecting much local tree/shrub fruit this year, as the February cold killed apricot and peach buds, and now this should eliminate the possibility of apple, pear, and cherry crops in many areas... darn.
