| I planted a screwbean mesquite early last fall. It still hasn't leafed out. I cut a branch and it is still green inside so I am thinking it's not dead yet. When do these trees leaf out in spring? I live in albuquerque.

| What are your temps like in Albuquerque this time of year? It might still be on the cool side. I can't tell you for sure, but I think it was in the upper 60s/low to mid 70s before my Prosopis juliflora leafed out completely. My Prosopis pubescens (screwbean) is a bit behind and hasn't fully leafed out yet. |

| Your Mesquite should have leafed out by now, mine did around 1st of May, I am in Albuquerque. Keep in mind that we live a bit outside (north of...) their normal range. |
