Oleander or Hopbush for screen

| Hello,
I am considering either of these 2 to provide a screen near the pool area and to block out views of the yard next door.
I've seen some good & bad about Oleanders but not too much on hopbush. Are Oleanders the best thing to use or could Hopbush provide the same attributes?
Thanks |

| Major differences: All parts of Oleander are poisonous and hopbush is a SW native plant. Similar drought tolerance and rate of growth. Both make an attractive hedge, with oleander obviously having more color interest. |

| Arizona rosewood is another option. Very similar looking to oleander. Slow growing at first I hear but good growth rate thereafter in cultivation. |

| I agree with above. AZ Rosewood looks similar to oleander. Mine grew slowly first couple seasons but rapidly thereafter. |

| Oleanders DO NOT like winter winds regardless how much water you give them. |
