Banana Trees Care

Posted by tonyp12tx Texas (My Page) on

Hello,
I have several Banana trees around our pool and was wondering if they might need to be fertilized. I do water regularly but over the past 2 years they are growing shorter every year.
(they get cut back for the winter)
Anyone have experience with banana trees?
Thanks

RE: Banana Trees Care

I'm surprised noone answered this yet. Bananas are heavy feeders. They like lots of sun (but in parts of Texas, they may need a little shade), lots of water, and lots of fertilizer. You can fertilize every week. Go to the Bananas forum here, for more info.

Here is a link that might be useful: Lots of information here.
