Anyone growing peonies in zone 8???

I just returned from Philadelphia with a Bowl of Beauty live plant that is currently rapidly growing. It was just poking heads up when I bought it and on the way home on the plane every time I peeked in on it it had grown another inch! I need some advice? Anyone here?

I'm in zone 7. I put my peonies on the north side just at the edge of the sun line. They flowered the first year and every year since. I think they would need protection from xtreme heat

I'm no expert, but I think that it's the UV rather than the high temps that they don't like.

North side and/or some filtered shade sounds like a good idea.
