Has anyone grown Chilean Pitcher Sage (Lepechinia chamaedryoides)

I bought this at a university plant sale because it seemed like a good xeriscape plant. Unfortunatey I can't find a lot of information about it on the internet and it's not in my Sunset Western Gardening book.

I understand it can get about six feet tall and is shrub-like. I was thinking I would limb it up like a small tree becaues I'm planning to grow it more like a specimen and it's in the front of a bed, will this work?

Thanks!

I think I'll try my post on the CA gardening forums. Perhaps this isn't a good xeriscape plant. :-)
