Securing our Carolina Jessamine

My husband is a little frustrated that what ever wire was used to hold this creeper to our fence (it was here when we bought the house) doesn't do the trick. What do you use??

You didn't mention what type of fence you have. If you have chain link fence you can just guide the stem
through the loops like weaving a basket.

Gelsemium being a twining type vine, the growth heads toward the light source so it will require some
assistance for a good period of time to lead it where you would like for it to climb. With a brick or concrete
wall I would use a wooden trellis to give the vines something to follow. You can start training it by just
twisting two or more stems at the same time around it's support.

Remember all things respond in do time so show it who's the boss ;-]
