Similar to sissoo but smaller for Arizona?

I was trying for a while to find a tree for my bare backyard in Scottsdale, but without any success. I was hoping for something:
-that didn't require fanatical watering
-didn't make a mess with leaves/flowers/fruit
-had real-looking green leaves
-wasn't too large (powerlines in back)

The only thing that I found that I liked was the sissoo, but it was too large. I don't suppose anything like a dwarf-y sissoo exists?
