Heucheras?

Can heucheras be grown here? I have a northern exposure where I'm going to plant some agaves and Mexican BOP. If heuchera can suvive, what varieties are the toughest for our arid climate, and will the summer heat be too much? The area gets a little sun, but mostly shade. Thank you.

RE: Heucheras?

Hi Randi, I have tried one heuchera, a basic coral bell in red with green leaves. It is doing great! I have it in dappled sun and it is thriving, so I think where you are thinking of planting sounds great. I'm planning to try one of the dark leaved varieties this year, cuz they are so cool. Remember you can always move it!
Cheers, Una
