 o
agapanthus look anemic

I planted Agapanthus (Lily of the Nile) last year this time....I bought 5 gal. size and divided each one at least 2 times. They have set roots well and have grown sufficiently since, but look rather washed out. I've fed regularly with Miracle grow. My soil is clay, but I amended greatly when planting. Any ideas why these plants aren't nice and green. Should I give them iron?

Are they in full sun?
How wet does the soil stay.
Agapanthus likes well drained soil that can dry out between waterings as you should know the roots are somewhat fleshy.
And they are very tolerant of abuse but I am not too sure about being cared for too much??
