evergreen Groundcover from seed ABQ

I'm looking to use a ground cover in a small area where I removed grass. I thought of thyme but nurseries don't have the amount needed and won't until fall. Any thing that can be planted from seed? How about aubrieta? Is that high water for ABQ? Does it fill in nicely? Any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks

Are you able to order seeds online?
