Plant ID - Red Rock Canyon, Nevada

| I found this plant at the tourist center at RRC. Does anyone have any idea what it might be??
Sorry my images aren't better. I'm still getting used to the camera.

| It looks like some type of Astraglus or perhaps an Oxytropis. But I'd bet it an Astragalus. |

| yup, it is astralgus/loco weed. I could key it out better if my ID book wasn't in the camper, but better there so I can use it when I need it! |

| Thanks for the help everyone! (Sorry to take so long to post back, kind of a busy last couple of weeks.) It does appear to be Astraglus sp. I guess I'll have to get a hold of someone who has seen the flowers in this particular location to determine the species. Hopefully the folks at the BLM office can help out with some pics from earlier in the year or something. Thanks again! Eva |
