| I have fallen in love with Stanleya pinnata. I bought three small plants through High Country Gardens early this spring. I have been trying to find more information re this lovely, looooong blooming plant. We put an emitter about a foot from each plant. Will I kill this native plant with toooo much water? Anyone else growing Stanleya? |

| I've killed a couple, which is kind of sad because they grow naturally around here along some of the roadsides. My guess is that it was too much water, but I was pretty careful with the second one, and I do have fairly sandy soil. But you get hotter down there and I would imagine you'll have to water them some. Maybe you want to vary the distance or the volume on the emitters, and see how they do comparitively. Good luck. |
