Anyone planting stuff now in the heat in ABQ?

| Greetings,
I was curious if anyone was planting much now in the heat and / or if there were any good strategies/tricks for doing so.
I am planting a bit, mostly places that get some late day shade. The heat/drought/wind are forcing me to plant stuff that is either cheap and/or that I have duplicates of.
Thanks. |

| Now that the temperature has dropped we planted a beautiful lantana plant early this morning. I soaked the hole for the plant and then soaked it again after filling in the hole. I'll keep soaking it for a few days and see how it does. i also replanted some bush beans in the rows where not all the seeds come up. I'm hoping with some cooler temperatures this week that these things will get established before the heat returns. Oh, it would be wonderful to see some rain! |
