Hi, I've attached a photo of our lawn. We are not really into maintaining a nice green lawn but I would like to ID and remove or try to keep down these other faster growing types of grass...or at least I think they are different. My question is, would anyone have a good guess at what kind of grass my lawn is (so I could buy some seed and encourage it to outgrow the other lumpier grass. Anyone have any idea what the taller lump of grass is? Maybe I should mention that I live in southern california and 90% of the grass is in the sun 90% of the time.

We are slowly removing grass but what grass we do have, I'd like to look at least decent.
