Great pics James- thanks for sharing. Your plants have really grown quite a bit in one year. By the way, which eucalyptus species is that? Also, do you provide any special protection for you palms in winter?

Cactus dude,
Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner- The eucapyptus species is pulverulenta. It isnt really an attractive species(Ithink it is) in its adult form due to its sparce scraggly appearance and the juvenile foliage that stays. I like it cause it looks cool! Its pretty hardy too.
I do provide protection to my palms in the winter, although I am not very consistent in my methods. They have only been in the ground since May 2004- So I consider them in their establishment period. What is that ummm 2.5 years? I will protect for prob a few more years- after that they are on their own. I think that establishment is key. Also the larger sizes play an important role too. Here are a few more pics....
