New Mexico Locust (robinia neomexicana)?

Does anyone have one of these shrubs/trees? Is it a good tree for a small area? I've read that it's lifespan is short. No mention as to how long that is. Anyone know?

I think they are OK, but have a tendency to sucker I believe. Dont know life span sorry.
