My husband has decided he wants the hottest side of our new house planted with agaves.
I would love to find the following:

Variegated Century Plant
Agave americana 'Variegata'

Desert Agave
Agave deserti

Agave tequilana Tequila Sunrise'

Please check my trade list to see if there is anything you might be interested in!

Best places to mail order the above agaves: Yuccado Nursery in Hempstead, TX and Plant Delights Nursery in Raleigh, NC. Check out their websites. Beautiful, healthy, rapid growing plants.

I bought an Agave on the web 2 years ago. I am looking for it to bloom so I can make this lovely nectar: http://www.wildernessfamilynaturals.com/agave.htm
BUT it has TWO babies. They are free to you if you wish to come and dig them up. I live in the Southern Calif Palm Springs area.

I get all my agaves by asking people who have mature agaves if I can dig up the babies. They make lots of babies and many people don't want the babies because it confuses the form. I get bucu plants that way. Do not be shy. I drive up to strangers houses and knock. offer a trade or offer to pay. Do wait for a rain to soften the soil.
