Lady or Candia Tulips?

| Some years ago, I tried to grow Tulipa clusiana (Lady Tulip) in my garden, but was very disappointed. I think that I might have gotten bad bulbs, but I have also noticed that there aren't any plantings of this species visible here. Has anyone in the Coachella Valley (or somewhere else in Sunset Zone 13) grown this plant? How did it do? I'm also interested in trying T. saxatilis, and T. sylvestris. Any info is welcome! |
