Free mulch

Anyone in Albuquerque/Los Lunas/Bernalillo areas know where to get free mulch? Preferably the shredded bark stuff. Also, how does sawdust do as a mulch? I think I know where I can get small amounts of that.

Moonsinger,

I don't know about Albuquerque, but here in Brownwood, Texas at the city recycling center, they shred all the brush the city collects and make it available free for anyone who comes for it. By the bagful or the truckful. For a year or so, if you would accept a complete dumptruck load, they would deliver it free. I got five or six loads of rather well composted mulch.

Good luck in New Mexico.

Thanks, OldWriter, I'll check it out to see if Albq. does anything like that.
