 o
creating shade

I live in the semi-arid Kamloops, BC. My yard gets full sun. Not the kind they mean when they say a plant wants full sun --much, much more. I would like enough shade to not fry the so-called "full sun" pla^ts.

Considering my trees will take many years to start casting shade about, how can I create shade now? Lattice? How tall would it have to be to be effective? Other ideas?
