lacebark elm

I see lots of seeds on the lacebark elms in Oklahoma, but they don't ever come up in the flower beds around here. The maples and redbuds sure do. Why not the lacebarks?

The common name "Lacebark Elm" normally refers to two different type of Elms. Which one do you have?
