Neat desert shrubs for zone 6

Posted by WPalm033 Chicago Z6 (My Page) on

I have a desert garden in my backyard complete with palms, yuccas, cacti, and agaves. All I am missing is the shrubs. Does anyone have any recommendations for some good looking ones that will survive z6 winters? The garden gets baked in the sun during summer, which can be dry with lack of rain, but humid. We also have very dry winters with minimal snowfall.

Thanks,
Pat

Here's a link with zone tolerances for each plant. Several shrubs included for zone 6 and below.
