Do you know if it is too late in the season to sow seeds of blue gramma and buffalo grass. I just finished clearing the area to plant. Or should I wait till spring? Thanks.

Yes, wait until May when nighttime temperatures are consistently above 55 degrees. It's too late for them to establish now before the first frost hits.

Well, around Las Cruces all the wild gramas are starting to release seeds right now, so I have a hard time believing that this is a bad time for you to release their seeds... but, then again, I haven't tried...

sure they are, so is my buffalo/grama lawn but it is not very effective for the germination/survival rate to do it now. If you want a dense stand and not patches of bunchgrass scattered here and there, then I'd wait for more favorable conditions.
