if you post this in texas gardening i am sure you will get a response. i know there are gardeners there that grow this lovely plant. RE: Caesalpinia pulcherrima

Phil,

I have two pods that formed on my plant this past summer. They still aren't completely ripe yet. I'll try and monitor them to make sure that the pods don't crack open when they dry. I'll send you an e-mail when they seem ripe.

By the way, I have both kinds. The thorns on this one are fine and almost hair-like compared to the typical form. Also the leaflets are much more of a blue/grey/green instead of the bright green of the typical form.

Ron,thank you for your proposition,and it's with a great pleasure,that i'll accept it!!
I dind't know that it existed a variety without,or almost, thorns! In fact ,it's the most frost hardy, will suits me! By the way,let me know how much, you'll have to pay for the shipment!
I have been looking at your page, and i could see a wonderful garden....if i could have one like this!it's a dream, and certainly a lot of job!!
Thanks again Ron!
