I'm visiting San Diego,CA. I just went to Xeriscape garden at Balboa Park across the street from Ruben H Fleet Space Museum in SD,CA...next to Zoo. Marvelous display of exotic(Red Hot Poker & Aloe Vera) & native succulents & Cacti(Ocotillo)(F. splendens). The ones mentioned are blooming.Tons of hummers on River Red Gums, Aloe vera, red hot poker & jade plant. In order from most popular to least. Privacy is key I think.Gums are 45' high.
