| Howdy: We just moved to Alamogordo from Washington state and could use some advice. Anyone else on here from Alamogordo? We would like to have a garden and could use advice on what to plant over an absortion field. thanks in advance |

Welcome to NM. I am not from Alamogordo, but Las Cruces climate is almost identical. 3 great gardening books for our area: Landscape Plants for Dry Regions, by Jones and Sacamano; Best Plants for New Mexico by Morrow Baker; and just about anything by Judith Phillips, NM landscape expert from Albuquerque. | Look at the High Country Gardens website. I'm in California, but they have alot of great plants and they are located in New Mexico. |
