Free for Kids!!!!!!!!

Just wanted to let you know that Home Depot has classes for kids. The classes are FREE. Today, I am taking the kids to make a double decker bird house.

They each get to make one (3 kids=3 houses). Best of all they get to build it and they get a little orange HD apron to wear and take home. Talk about FUN!! I am gong to let them pick the spot in the yard to hang their house. They are very excited!

It a great thing to do with the kids! Our classes occur once a month on a Saturday. During different months, they also make things like bat houses, single bird houses, etc. Call your local HD to find out class days and times. Have fun!!

That sounds like lots of fun. I hope our local home depot has those I'm going to go ask in the morning.

My dh works for an Ace affliate and they do this too. He brings home the projects for the kids. They just made picket fence planters. Too cute !

Many botanical gardens offer classes for both children and families. Bay and I are taking our first one together next week... "Wooden tree sculpture". We will take a long walk on the grounds of the garden and learn the names of all the different trees, then go inside to build a sculpture. There were several other classes offered this spring and more offered in the summer catalog. Although they're not free, they do support a good cause.
