Searching for floral design classes in Sacramento area or nearby

Can anyone please give me some direction to find floral design classes in my area. I am really interested in getting into this field. Thank you.

| I am also interested in floral design classes in the Sacramento area. I found something under ROP here...classes from August to Jan this year...one at Florin High School in the afternoons and one at Burbank High School in the afternoons with I think onsite job training after the class. I am also going to check with Floral shops around here to see if I can come in and help and train without being paid....just to learn. I just started looking into this tonite...kind of a change from another interest of mine of becoming an EMT. I figured flowers are alot less stressful...lol. |

| Try American River College. They have a certificate program in floral design through Extension classes. |

| Hi Vicki, I have two sources for you...I teach floral design classes for everyday use in your home, office, as gifts, for dinner parties,etc. I also have a workbook and 5 DVD's pertaining to Wedding Flowers. I am not allowed to post links here, but feel free to contact me and I will be happy to direct you to the appropriate sites. I would also consider having you come and "help" me with weddings to learn the trade. I am a wedding florist in El Dorado Hills, Ca. |

I have been doing floral design for several years, but aside from some college extension classes in san Diego (Rene Van Rem), i have had no commercial experience i'd be very interested in "helping" you. I am available anytime. |
