 o
picture: fun roses for kids- 'stripeys'

Probably many kids don't realize there even are striped roses! These are fun to look for, even getting some OGRs and more unusual ones from rose suppliers online; such as Ashdown, Antique Rose Emporium, and Uncommon Rose. Here is a picture of a Delbard rose,"Edgar Degas"- gotten from Ashdown Roses.

Doesn't it look like strawberry ribbon ice cream? This was picked Wed. morning, and has a fragrance with a hint of cinnamon to me! We have decided to feature our "stripeys" as I call them in the front of our rose quadrants in the front yard. They are framed by the 'window' cut-out sections of our small metal gazebo.
