My neighbors and I are interested in letting our kids plant something now that they can nurture over the summer and possibly eat. We have a small area that gets mostly full sun and would like to have something for the kids to be responsible for, checking daily, watering, etc (they are 5, 6 and 7 years old). None of us are gardeners and know absolutely nothing about fruits or vegetables....is it too late to plant Tomatoes or Watermelons in Atlanta? Thanks.
